Did you ever have a birthday during theschool year? Nope always in the summer June? It wasalways in the summer, the earliest one. I remember I was maybe like ten. Idon't remember a lot before yften and my mom invited like all theneighborhood kids and s kids from school and Um. She played this gamethat we did almost every birthday. She had this game where she would wrap acandy bar or something but then wrap it like a million times with Um diffee. You know wrapping papernewspaper o whatever, and so you would like go around the n roll dice and whenyou roll doubles, you'd start unroutling until w've always playedthat game. I've done that for our kids a few times and that's the earliest one.I remember, but I was probably like ten. I was kind of old. I just don'tremember that. I I feel like anyone who has a summerbirthday, they kind of get gipped on birthday parties a little bit 'cause. You can't send the invites out to everyone at school. I remember having a birthday party. Iwas really young. It was like five or six, maybe, and we went to somewhere intown here- is a fire man. Museum they've got like old school old, timyfire trucks and Asoo est friends, or just your family, no yeah, they werefriends, they did parties there. I mean I couldn't tell you what friends butyeah. They do like birthday parties for little kids and it was yeah. It was agood member Yous, you weren't ever in school, 'cause you're an Augustbirthday August birthday, always the summer birthday. In fact, when I was inschool, we used to walk uphill, both ways. I no sorry. U Different storywhen I was in school. Teachers didn't never say hey for everyone of thesummer birthday pick a day throughout the year and celebrate, and now they dothat. That's n yeah, so kids, who have summer birthdays now they get to pick aday or a week throughout the school year and like recelebrate their Birtha,it's like they get to wirthdays yeah. Penelope always is sad because we'reusually in Idaho for her birthday in July, and so she never gets in bytfriend. So we just actually did this half birthday for her in January when she hit her halfbirthday wed, let her invite friends and we did an actual big birthday.Moovy bardy loved it. It was really fun like. Oh that's good that she finallygets to invite some yends or a party. She usually has cousins there andFamily Sur. It's fun to have friends, but, like you, don't need a birthdayparty every year or do you I now we haven't done a big birthday party, forwe do somethere s, something the one that I loved the most remember. We tookpenelope again and a bunch of friends to arrest to cheesecake factory Y andwe sat them at their own table. It was amazing. We sat nearby Colinay. We werea few tables away. Yes and Lik. They IE S, ther l them so all at their owntable and like we're, supervising and...

AH- and she was turning- I don't knowlike eight or nine- they weren't that old, so its for sure, the first timethey had ever been like. We did that with Adie restaurant yeah so fun. Iwould totally do that again. Well, we've kind of W we've told our kids, wekan neither a do a birthday party or you know you go out to eat with a bunchof your friends, something like that or we can get you like a big present right. So they kind o. We let them choose whether they want the birthday partypresent or MHM. What's behind Dorb, which might be a sweater Zo Zink Zank? What was that show? YeahC yeah, let's make a deal hat's make a deal. That's was it a Zonk? I think so.I'v I've seen like two minutes of that show. One time I don't ear. Ki Meansdon't Really Watch thathat's on it's still on TV Wayne Brady. Is that hisname yeah he's a lot better than the old guy? Was it wasn't Richard Dawson? I don'tremember that it was lame. Did you know that family feud was a spin off ofmatch game? Wyeah they're not like at all Richard Gowson was on match gameand I was reading because weird I saw this clip on facebook. The other daythat had somehat. It was like a family feud show, but it was a host that I hadnever seen before, and it was like a newer host. It was like a more modernclip and I thought PLAC Steve Harv Stev Harvey replaced, but he', I don't think he is. I looked on. Wikipedian he's the most recent one.I don't know what this clip was that I saw anyway reading on Wikipedia I wasreading about the previous hosts, a family mode, wikipedia rabbit. I was ina wikipedia hole. I went pretty deep match game some sort of spint offsomehow some way family feud with Richard Dawson Anyway, Hes Ageti, OeLips M we're going to interview our friend and neighbor Danielle 'cause. She is like the ultimate party planner. She plans. These amazing sow partiesfor her kids, like over at the top spare's, no expense been so much timewe go and I'm just like. I am a terrible nother. I go to the SH. Sheplans it all out right. The food, the drinks, the photobooth she's, got evenher grandma right, we'll be taking pictures of everyone of the party andposting him on line and sending Hem after it like there's done for kids ands and like I want to pick her brain about her process and all the thingsshe does should be fun yeah. So, let's start the interview. Hedenye, welcome to the pod CAS, Hey,Danel, hey so yeah we eveeur Donyor, Olde, O Daniel Neighbor, our neighbordone Yel. Here with us. She didn't have to come far. She lives like six feetaway from us and this is going to be good. It's an interview. It's also likesome prep in training, for when you do your Podgast, yes, we're starting itsoon. It's it's actually happening. Tell us about what it's going to becalled. It's going to be called dbest life and ery good, basically just howto live your best life when you are...

...drowning and everything else, so youfiguring out balance. We have a family of five boys and that takes a lot ofpractice struggling things and well. We have a lot of UH positives. We have alot of negatives and it's sorting it out and how how to use that to liveyour best life so just being real and using all of life life's lessons tolive dub best life Yep, like it everytise e Iin. It's good we're justtalking about how m! When we go to your house too, we do the same thing. Wedon't go to like the sidewalk we just cut across the rocks. Oh it's so far towalk those extra steps to the sidewalk we should put papers in. That wouldmake it easier. Then we could feel far. I have gone barefoot and then I havehad to use the sidewalk and it's the way into so far and we're talking anextra. What like fifty feet, es the Sidewak Ra but still EAH, when it's ten thirty eleven thirty twelve o'clockat night and we've j just finished around of teachyou. No one wants towalk tha exeres fifty feeag deal. It doesn't help that there's like aperfect trail in between two trees. That would be perfect. It's idea, yeebetween our ouse yeah. We play teach you a lot with these guys late at night, just like somebody'll text, oh yea pretea, you, let's do it and it's likealways girls against boys, and I feel like we win every time the girls winright, erthat's. How I remember am maybe not I don't know. I don't know about that, but it is like a it's like a Tichu. Booty call iswhat I love it. We've also talked I'vespoken with your husband Brent. Did you notice how I emphasized the MT theBrentyes Cause? He gets that a lot M like how cool would it be to put a gatein between the two backyards that would be so nice. Then you could actuallysend your dogs over for Gj to play with in our backyard eah. Well intere, interesting enough. Your daughter Adty actually saved fin in the backyard likein the back of the park. Just yesterday really Itin here now how to get hejumps through the fence. He can fit through the fence and there's a couplespots where the chicken wire isn't Prte an knows those SPO. He knows where theyare, and so we keep fixing them, but he keeps finding other little holes thathe can get out of. Anhe just goes in on adventures. It doesn't help that ourother neighbors have dogs and I think he's Trale to them so show a him in thepark ah and grabbed him. Wow nowfin is one of the forever puppies that we'vereferred to in previous episodes Te'veone of tos before they are very torgular asessed withthem, so they're cute okay. So I have a awkwardly personal question for you:Col just finished a big bowl of sugar cerial. So here's what's funny 'cause.I just walked into the office here and...

I was like I just downed a whole bunchof star burst. I, though you were going to say cereal and, U totally and blewmy mind and I at Arburs freviously to me downing the starburst. I also downeto a huge bowl of cold cereal, huge bull. I thought you were going to admitwhat kind it was and then I will. I will once o Yu awkwardly personal question. What isyour guilty pleasure? Sugar, cereal? And do you eat it at ten pm like we do usually not at time pm, I'm judging youright now. No, I judging us, that's GAM St da to clarify milk is kind of hit ormiss with my stomach O. I find that later at night, it's harder for mystomach to digest dairy products. Okay, sometimes I have to skip that work IAMto and I have to decide whether or not I'm going to go for a bullcereal. Ihave done it before, but when you brought it up earlier, the type ofcereal I didn't even have to think, because I love lucky charms sointeresting yeah, do you prefer lucky charms ten years ago or lucky terms, now they've changed. The recipe is different. I feeling I do feel like it.I has definitely changed and I'm sure it's probably because of health codesand how we're all trying to get away from you know non GMO and all thosethings I don't think it tastes as good, because there's muchyes likedeliciousit's like a little waxyor s like there's something of it either way.Our kids still only eat the marshmalow out of it yeah ten years ago. Theywould have only eaten the MARTINAALS, and today they arron some marshalseither I chocolate lucky charms, thes, chocolate, lectrish arms. They I leavethe Chocutuf yeah they're like Marshmillis. Only it's so odd yeah. Wecan't buy that Caut, our kids, our kids, most of our kids, don't even drink ordon't even eat cold sereal with milk, which is yeah. They like it dry. What'sthe point it'sn't so weird anyway, what was your guilty ss? We can put in abaggy and send t yourcold cereal of Joice, Elta, leisure, really like luckycharms like if there are four cerls and the cupboard and one's lucky charms. That's the one! I'm going to choose a hundred percent but m oatmal squares, which, like that's, not a guilty pleasure. It's like a really good one, frosted ones. Oh, this is gross, but I really like the reeses pieces, peanutButter Cup yeah. Those are really waxy Ar Gos so delicious. Those are frend'sfavorite, the OATMILL squares, no they're, not they're, not frostedthey're. Just like quick. It's almost like in this tal I like without Um milk. Yes, those are good. Snacking.Syria, yeah they're justthere's, like five bucks for a tiny box. My guiltypleasure, the one that I ate just fifteen minutes ago. What was it cinnamon toast crutch so sugary, so sename cinamony, sosugary, it's yeah...

...you can. You can eat that one all! Youwant all the kids I I rarely eat it. It was a guilty pleasure yeah for sure, okay, so we're going to introduce you with some questions, making someassemptions about you, okay- and these are things that I feel like. I shouldknow about you, but I can't think of the answer to any of them. You grew upin Colorado, maybe Utah, okay, where at Um in Salt Lake County and draper soutJordan Gotcha, I didn know you went to University of Utah, so I probablyshould have been able to guess that, but I knew I knew she grew thin. I'mcoming wit the whole nose these things better than I do. Your first job was asa signe twirler on the corner. Please no, I feel like you would have been a goodScien Worto, because you've got the cheerleading skills. I would have been great at that. Imissed my calling M. I actually late had K. I was a a hostess at a restaurantfor like two weeks owow and then after that I coach gymnastics. So whatrestaurant Um it? Actually I don't even remember the name of it. It waoters.Wasn't it yeah they hired me when I was you knowfifty year. I think that's illegal, but Um. No, mycousin was a manager and it was a small little like a diner or something yeah, and it was really far from my house, but I thought it would be fine andafter driving there for two weeks I was like no, I can't do this anymore andthen I didn't really like doing it anyway. So N youwrencoaging gymnasticsthat amazing yeah jumper a kid yeah, I loved it yeah. So the two weeks at a restaurant I'vegot TA follow up there. Two weeks at a restaurant. Did you put that on yourresume when you applied to the the next SOB or like your application? No, Iwith coaching gymnastics since I was in cheer, and you were known, I yeah m.The cheer world is Kindof Small, and so I didn't even really have to apply tothe coach gymnastics. I just was kind of roing on this job like I want a job and do you have oneand they're, like sure know, I start at works. Well, so it worked out well or here's. Mylast one. I think that your high school crash was just in Timberlake. I do yes that that is true. Ireallyokay so in high school was that like top Ramin Hair just in Timberlake?Well, nor that, as you know, what I'm talking about- Oh, I know exactly whatyou're talking about that was like seven year old me: Okay, O the Insen thw rop at top around the air and then sexyback Justin was my high school okayalghtactually went to that concert with Brent. That was our first concert thatwe went to oether Wen e Wer, sixteen, so very nice Um th y. That might be the first timeI've ever gotten one of those right like actually right. Like any question that I've everguessed about, maybe I think I feel like you got onerightbe. I wn I n year ago from Miami...

Florida that'Syeahysh instead ofmyilove laughing, when I listen to that and mat was amazing Yoe from Miami likeGloo Miami Florida, I'm in Florida, she's like no okay. So we ask Denll to come todaybecause that we wanted to talk about. Um parties like party planning andthoring parties for kids and Um Denniells, like the ultimate Pat Partyplanter like that could be Pthey, are always having parties and like goodparties, amazing Costun, like great parties. In fact, the first time we metyou guys, I guess we had kind of met. But when we really got to know you wasat a party that you threw a block party for like the whole neighborhood, thatChristmas block party, that we did right and I remember being like blownaway because there were like every detail. You had thought of there werethese little chalkboard signs that were like this beautiful. You know, scriptwritten for everything for like the hot cocoa bar and the SMOORES and therwasall this, and I had brought like a side for the barbecue. I'm like Oh man, agreat thing, r, the great thing about the parties that they throw for adultsand for kids, like when you throw a birthday party for a kid like all theadults are welcome. I remember we actually went to a party before thatone when they first moved in they had a birthday party. I think for your oldestand tire Eros seemed e cruse and I think I feel like we just sent penelopeover 'cause. We didn't know and then, when we wnt PEK PDELOPE up, it was likeall the adults there. It was like. Oh my gosh, we so missed out on thisamazing party. I remember penelopy Um. She was so funny because she was theonly one there that she didn't really know when he on and h she kept askingme if she could go home and ask you things and she'd be like Kindo. Have asoda and I' like Yeah. Of course, there's like you know, cooler full ofsodas and she'd be like okay. Can I go ask my mom that' Laryr, so she'd go n,then she'd come back Yo' like good girl, penii good girl, really munny. I don'tremember that, but that's openelipy that tha dorm on so yeah. I my questionis of all the parties you've thrown Um like what's your favorite thereave beensome epic ones. So I feel like this is going to be hard to choose at is really hard. I try to go biggerevery single party that I throw Um, but some of my all time, favorites was M,definitely cruis's. Fifth Birthday Party. We did a rock and roll birthdayparty, and so I had a big red carpet and everyone had VIP badges, so theyhad to come and check in with their family. And then I big banner that saidcruises rocking fifth birthday and you got my grandma who loves to takepictures, was out there like being the Paparatzi, and so everyone had to gettheir pictures. TAKEEN. That's a perfect role for your grime, no, the sthe best and then M Tony Brent's dad...

...built a stage in the backyard and wehad brents little brother sing and play like guitar and Doang actual cal, oerTe kids and we had a big Um. And then we had himstart happy birthday like singing happy birthday, and we brought out a Gitarcake that I made shape of guitars so m that one was pretty epic and that'd behow late? How long did it take to plan all of that and prep? All of that, Iplan my parties almost like years in advance. I have a few parties like inmy back pocket, an like cruises birthday party that Ithink I'm going to finally pull the trigger and do this year for histwelfth birthday. I've been planning for like four years, so it Kinda justdepends, but I can just whip together. A party like Thenes, I'm just puttingit together mean his birthday's on the thirtieth this month and I haven'treally thought it out yet um 'cause, it's not. I do a big party for everysingle one of my kids birthdays, but it's not like one of those big years. So, like five ten, you know thirteen will probably be big Um, but I just I'm throwing it together, but Ithink it will still be good. Did you have a party every year growing up as akid? I did have birthday parties every yearthey weren't nearly to this scale. Yeah Um, I don't. I love planting parties. Ilike Obbr Sad. I would love actually to be a party planner. If I livedsomewhere, you know where the market was prime for it. I don't feel likeGilbert Rizona is but Um. I I don't know like I. I don't evenknow where it came from. I just love it so much and it's high priority to me:Tho make their birthdays special. That's awesome, not just birthdays, like that's yeah, amazing. You've done all these amazing birthday parties, butlike the ones we've been to yeah game of thrones Premier Party, epic, andalways everyone's like dressing up getting really sor your St Patricks taHalloween Party is yeah, but then yeah the birthday parties, the little theWinni, the poo one that you did Mehad and I loved that it was like everydetail. These, like amazing, handmade sugar cookies of like the honeypod andthe bee hive like bees and asti almost had the bi and just like every like youhad that cool balloon or just like every detail, it's so it's. I think Iappreciate it, especially because I do not have that skill and I do not havethat. Like my brain just doesn't go there, I'm not creative about thelittle details. I I'm like- I guess me, this t bounce you truy, so it's impressive and the Ti like howmuch time would you say you could take a guest for your hours that you put infor a party like that? What do you think? How long has it taken? I've gotten really good at it. So Imean it would probably take me a lot less time than it would take theaverage person. I think you were going...

...to say me right a ID. Take me a lot F.Les Tim, a an like and, like I don't know, say, Abri t e're not wrong, and I do have a really great supportsystem. So, like my mom and my grandma, an and especially my husband and evenmy kids, they know that when it's Party Day it's like it's serious business, getting these pas done Um, but it does take me hours to prep, because I mean some of the things that I could go and buy, but a lot of timesI'm already spending hundreds of dollars on things. So I end up makinghem myself 'cause, you could go and buy a blue arch, but I han make that, likeI put thaalltogether, I make the cakes I did buy the sugar cookies, but um I've made them before in the PA, thosesugar cookies. I felt so bad when my kids are liy in to have one can iamlike no like, let's just admire how beautiful these sugar kings are andthen they just destroyed 'em once they had 'em. Oh, it's art. It's hard, fiime cake. She had like a AA Hot Cape Yeah. I think they're smash SkatoftsRigh, which were really well. They looked like they were made at of bakaryo like yes, tha an and that's you can save some money if you're able to atleast make the cake right, yeah- and I end up making a lot of like littlethings for Crus's Tenth Birthday Party. We had a C, it was called Camp crewseand we had all the boys come over and stay outside as like a camp. So I hadall it was all like camp themed. I guess like fiery and smors and I gavethem water bottles that said Camp Cruise on it, so I had to get all thatvital made and put them on the water bottles and they got to take that homewith a flashlight and so all f that stuff it just. It takes a lot of time,I would say hours and hours for each party, but some parties. It doesn'ttake that much so, unfortunately, you've got a job that when things slowdon now, I'm just she does all of it. While she's working, it's fine, you Woll, don't admit anything. Younever know who's going to listen to this podcast. So no she does not she j.She does it all. On her stare, O s kind of staring off Andju SA. You know she'sthinking about thilking of some good details, Fori Yeah, they know they've been invited h. Theyshow up to 'em all yeah. I know that's the other thing. That'sreally fun is when we go, and even if it's like one of the kids parties, youknow there's like all these really fun adults there, like there's lots ofpeople to talk to fun games like there's, they're, always um fun forevery age I feel like, which is not easy to do like most parties, it's funfor the kids or it's fun for the Adol Yeah. I think you're able to do bothyeah. Is that intentional, or is that just kind of yeah yeah m I like to have the adult stay? I Ithink you guys know this about me in Brent, we're very inclusive and we lovemeeting New People. That's why we have a pretty good circle, but when we started doing it I mean we're young for how old cruises.I guess it was Kindo Hard, because we'd...

...have these people stay and Um. Wedidn't feel like we connected on them so and we realized that they would stay soit became more of a party for everyone for me, and so I was like okay. I knowthat these adults are going to stay. I need to make sure that they have drinksor um like these are the adult food, and this is the kid and Um kind ofthings for them to do too, and it's also more fun for me. Well, it makes it makes planning andprep even that much more difficult right. It's like you're planning twoparties in one, so people to do it for both adults and kids yeah for sure, okay. Well, we're going to play a game. Okay- and I really loved weplayedrecently with some friends on here, the newlywed game, and so I want to do that. Can we have Brent come over walk across the Path Um? He said that he might onlybe able to do it by phone. Okay, that W have to call him Aleat's it see if heanswers. I don't know where my phone is Osee. This is like real life bodcastingright here. That's your phone yeah d! I need this one, because I have thequestions here. Someone call my phone yeah, you call someone call me. It's probablydownstairs next to the bug of starburst, it justholdd up to years. Hi. Are you ready to play a game with US yeah I like to play a game that was supposed to be a combinationof like Jigsaw, but it turned into batmen a game. Um just point point: the likeMicrovieah Jest Yeh, okay, so n play the new LBA game. First, questions arefor the girls and then Brent can tell if you're right or not right. So howoften does he shave not enough S, you're, saying you sa you're, saying that you like himto shave more than he does he I we hade this conversation in thecar. Actually creise was like: How did he even bring it up? He saidsomething about Wi sexybeard. If Dad has his sexybeard or his crazy beard, and I was like yeah it buns like he's like I, his se, his beard sexy rightnow and I looked at him and I was like, I think it's on the border of very crazy. I don't know, I would sayyou probably shave like once a week. I don't know okay and then I'm an a answer and thenyou can both tell us if we're ritinsure. I think it's once a week, that's myguess. I think that you shave on the day actually once every two weeks- oh hare they when the cleaners arecoming- and you should neur like they- can clean up the sink you'll do alittle bit but like not really well, that's totalso! That's totally right! II plan when I do a big trim and shave it's the morning that I know thecleaners are going to complain and we so the degrees son us we have. We usethe same cleaner and I I plan it. So...

...what is it every other Monday morning,I'm like making a mess with all the whiskers and sink knowing that well, instant clean's com going to come and take CAE Ohi. Do it every week yeah, but I tdon't Wan it's hard to clean up no Brittins of Te Gren up as the worst B.What about you? What was your answer? Mine's, probably every other week too.I try to go as long as I possible until Daniel says she wust hold somethingfrom me. If I don't shame so R, I threaten him. I'm with you bred. Ithink I think the crazy beard is the sexybeard just going to throw that outthere. Okay, here's our second question: What brand is the soap he uses in theshower? Oh No um it kindo depends a lot of times. I'mthe one who purchases it purchases, it so you'd think you'd Kno. I would thinkI would know. Is it the same one every time or dost you just get whateversmells good h. Last time it was from bath and bodywork, and I don't know I guess sometimes you doshow up with some new kinds from like target may x. okay, never ax. Have you bought it for theboys, okay, I'll answer, and then you guysand give your answers. I I think it's dial what You'e used more lately, but Iwas just thinking. I have no idea. What like the cent would be. I think it'scalled. I gial man smell. I Brent I'll. Let you answer this onefirst right right now is that bad bed, batbeyond or whatever one you have that's like th, Rosemary and likea orange one.I really like that one right now, but nat or I would say the doctor- I don'tknow what it I doctor or whatever d there's like H, mint R lavender. I meanit's e Mit one like peppermint one you're bathing with too paste those sound, really fancy compared tocols man smell diecatit, you get it for sprouts, ooit's called Oh ye, tre oil ctachreoil, that's like the lace, repele yeah, and it's like watery, it's more like concentrate than it is um SOM,it's! Oh my gosh. I can't think of what it's called, but it's really good, sothe one that I use on a regular basis. Yes, it's the dial man smell, whichmakes me sound so basic 'cause I mean it's just dial. I get it a target itand it smells good enough. I used to do like the old spices and all that an I e,it's all just hidthere is one that I really like from bath and bodyworks. I think it's calledTeakwood. Have you have used that one Bren n? It's it's pretty GOI'd, recommend itbut yeah they're so expensive there.

Unless you go on a sale day or DiscountDay, it's I'm sticking with dial man smell. I think that we got both ofthose right we did cause. Did you get ell of yours right in Romance? No, youc. You said one wee OHG, but I did get it right because I said not enough. We'll give you half point so we'restill ahead. Twoto one and a half Ike ot oneyacos. I think you picked likethe kids soap right, yeah theyere like Oh, maybe that's where the boy is. Okay, the boy questions for the boys Um. What is her favorite piece of JewelryBrent? You want to answer. First, I would say probably her Pearl earringsis probably what she goes lake her go to it when she wears them all right call what oe you Ning for you. I think it's going to be those Alexanani bracelets, correct, yes,Um! I do think that the Pearl earrings are definitely outside of my weddingring the number one choice which y most savored. I count that as the correct answerecause, I was going on to say wedding, but that's like a given. I T yeah, Iprobably should have said besides her wedding beside the Wae ways, a favorite, what you'd hope exactly: Okay Secquestion, what is her least FavoriteHousehold, chore, Laundry, All Right, he's sure, b. There are just so many chores that ABRIhates doing. That is accurate. What ISYEA? All of the above, I wouldsay, cleaning toilets, is probably theuhe's,not what I thought of, but it probably should have been 'cause. That is, Ididn't actually cling to Toilan. I knowe better than you hears you you doit a couple of times a week, I think, and then I'm just like that's gettingtaken care of. So what was Etn Whil? I didnven think about that washing dishes.I hate washing the dishes, especially if I' e like, if I have made dinner, luckily usually whan. I make dinner cold as the dishes 'cause to do boththere's something about doing both. That's just the worst like. I shouldnever have to cook. You know you also hate to clean up after as you're making dinner,I lou just leaves her. She leaves the mess out right, shes mix. L Lenderaware of this is that if I start cooking when the kitchen's dirty, oh,you got to start with the cleen triition crazy he's like I don't youlike clean the kitchen before you start cooking.
